We are seeking a highly motivated Underwriting Assistant to join our Construction team. This role is essential to supporting the underwriting lifecycle; from submission through issuance, while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our underwriting operations. You’ll work closely with underwriters and cross‑functional teams to deliver high-quality service and technical expertise.

• Provide critical support to underwriters on end‑to‑end underwriting processes, from initial submission review through policy issuance and post‑bind activities.
• Operate and maintain proficiency in various underwriting systems.
• Manage multiple workflows and maintain visibility into task status and deadlines.
• Assist in creating quotes, binders, certificates, and endorsements.
• Ensure all documentation is properly filed and compliant with audit standards.
• Review policies and discuss changes with underwriters.
• Collaborate and correspond with internal and external contacts.
• Monitor account receivables and assist the accounting team with reconciliation.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements.
• Contribute to special projects and assignments as needed.

• Minimum 1 year of technical experience in an insurance/reinsurance company.
• Solid understanding of specialized insurance concepts related to construction insurance.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including pivot tables), Outlook, and Word;
  PowerPoint a plus.
• Strong organization, analytical, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
