KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Compliance Governance, Monitoring & Quality Controls (Ethics & Compliance) to join our Legal, Regulatory & Compliance organization.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and ensure successful operation of ethics processes and controls owned by the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer supporting the firm's System of Quality Management (SoQM).
- Lead risk assessment activities to identify and address compliance and quality risks across relevant processes.
- Partner with Internal Audit, Legal, and other stakeholders to align and strengthen control testing methodologies and outcomes across the Ethics and Compliance function.
- Document and maintain processes to ensure consistency and auditability, and lead the creation or modification of policies, procedures, training materials, and communications to support compliance objectives.
- Monitor ongoing control performance and drive remediation of control design and operating effectiveness issues to ensure compliance objectives are consistently achieved.
- Provide clear and actionable reporting on quality risks and control effectiveness to senior leadership and the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum ten years of recent experience in compliance, audit, risk management, legal or related fields, preferably within professional services or other regulated industries.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Great leadership skills with experience managing teams and complex projects focused on process optimization, compliance programs and monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (such as, SEC, PCAOB), risk management principles, and compliance monitoring/testing methodologies, including SoQM concepts.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable insights to management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
