Process Specialist – Remote (US or Atlanta, GA)

In the role of Process Specialist – Closers review loan packages and create Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs). They coordinate with Title and Settlement agents to ensure an on‑time closing and that the data in the CD is correct.

• Requires 2–3 years of experience in preparing initial and final closing documents
• Request fees and wire transfers from the settlement agent
• Issue initial and re‑disclosures of closing disclosures to the client
• Prepare preliminary closing disclosure
• Review flood insurance certifications, title commitments, ownership of deed, loan approval, tax certificate, and preliminary closing disclosures
• Review power of attorney (POA) and cash‑to‑close statements
• Create closing documents and monitor required waiting periods
• Conduct Prefunding Quality Assurance (PQA) pre‑closing audit before closing
• Review final closing documents, clear to fund, and deliver final closing documents

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience

• Knowledge of mortgage concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Working knowledge of any loan origination system
• Basic knowledge of MS Office tools
• Experience with mortgage loan origination applications (preferably BKFS application – Empower, MSP)
