Vice President, Finance – U.S. Domestic Chief Financial Officer

At UPS, you’ll have the opportunity to shape financial strategy and performance across our largest operating segment, supporting a complex nationwide network with upward of $30 billion in annual operating expenses.

As Vice President, Finance – U.S. Domestic Chief Financial Officer, you’ll partner with senior business and enterprise leaders to strengthen profitability, guide investment decisions, and translate financial insights into meaningful operational results.

Managing financial performance across a large, interconnected operating network requires balancing competing priorities involving volume, revenue, pricing, labor, service, productivity, and capital investment.

Your challenge is to turn that complexity into clarity and action.

You’ll strengthen the connection between financial strategy and operational execution, improve visibility into business performance, and advance Finance capabilities that enable faster, more informed decisions.

• Shape financial strategy: Partner with senior executives to guide business priorities, financial performance, and long-term planning.
• Drive operational performance: Connect financial and operational drivers to identify opportunities for improved profitability, productivity, and cash flow.
• Strengthen financial discipline: Lead forecasting, scenario planning, capital allocation, performance management, and financial governance.
• Modernize Finance: Advance analytics, automation, reporting, and technology-enabled planning to improve decision-making and organizational effectiveness.
• Develop enterprise talent: Lead a high-performing Finance organization, build leadership capability, and strengthen succession pipelines.

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including success as a divisional CFO, business-unit CFO, or senior finance executive in a large, complex organization.
• Demonstrated accountability for financial performance, capital investment, cash flow, and strategic business decisions.
• Experience navigating large-scale, asset-intensive, geographically dispersed, or network-based operations.
• Strong commercial and operational acumen, with the ability to influence senior executives and translate complex financial information into business action.
• A proven record of improving financial performance and leading Finance transformation through analytics, automation, or operating-model improvements.
• Experience building high-performing teams and developing future Finance leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or comparable advanced qualification preferred.

Transportation, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or similarly complex operational experience is strongly preferred.
