2500 CUMBERLAND PKWY STE 600 - ATLANTA, GA 30339, Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
- Own the budget. Build and roll out Uni Pro’s annual budget package across the company and our strategic business units. That includes headcount, full compensation, travel, income and expense, Partner Plus awards and trips, and conference income and costs.
- Call the shots on the forecast. Develop and run the annual forecasting model. Each quarter, work with department heads to gather, test, and summarize the business assumptions behind our 24-month rolling forecast.
- Follow the money. Analyze Member returns across our UPA programs, Peachtree returns, and Member Assessments. Maintain monthly UPA reporting and break out revenue by supplier for senior management.
- Find the story in the variance. Help prepare and review financial statements, and dig into variances versus budget so leadership knows what happened and why.
- Keep the people numbers right. Lead annual salary planning, the mid-year payroll forecast, and headcount tracking. Oversee the payroll process and our third-party payroll consultant, and administer the Expense Reimbursement module in Paycom.
- Mind the balance sheet. Own key accounts, including payroll, IPAP, and SBU accounts, and handle select ledger closing activities.
- Be the go-to analyst. Take on ad-hoc analysis and special projects for the CFO and Senior Staff covering Assessments, UPA, titled sales, other income, expenses, and SBU results.
- Build better tools. Help department heads across the company develop and roll out analytical tools. Keep pushing for more efficient accounting and planning processes.
- Keep us audit-ready. Prepare materials for Workers’ Compensation, 401(k), and payroll tax audits, and support the review of Supplier UPA reporting as needed.
- Lead the team. Supervise the Financial Analysts who support our SBUs (UAG, NDA, and PFL). You’ll hire, coach, and manage performance.
By month six, department heads bring you their questions before the forecast is due, not after. The budget cycle runs on schedule with fewer surprises. Variances are explained before anyone has to ask. Your analysts are growing, and the reports are getting sharper and faster. When the CFO or Senior Staff ask a hard question, you’re the one with a clear, confident answer.
WhatYou Bring to the Table The non-negotiables:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of related experience. You’ve lived this.
- A solid grasp of financial analysis techniques and an analytical mind that turns data into insight.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort pulling and analyzing data from mainframe systems. You should also be at an intermediate level in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Self-starter instincts, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage your own projects from start to finish.
- Proven presentation skills, plus clear and effective verbal and written communication.
- The confidence to work with department heads and senior management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage change.
- A results focus with strong organization and time management.
- Experience leading or developing analysts.
- Hands‑on payroll oversight or HRIS administration, with Paycom a plus.
- Budgeting and forecasting across multiple business units.
- A background in food service distribution, buying groups, or cooperatives.
You’ll report to the CFO or Controller. You’ll work closely with Finance and senior management, and with department heads in Sales, Logistics, Purchasing, Marketing, IT, and other areas. Outside the company, you’ll work with Uni Pro Members, Suppliers, Vendors, auditors, banks, and taxing authorities.
