Finance Manager, Corporate Development

Destination Pet operates pet resorts and veterinary practices across the U.S. and grows through acquisitions and reinvestment in our centers. This role leads the finance side of our M&A program, directs how we deploy capital, and presents directly to the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors.

Remote, United States

REPORTS TO:

VP, Strategic FinancePAY: $135,000 to $150,000 base, plus 15% annual bonus target(Destination Pet does not provide visa sponsorship)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

M&A Finance (60%)Lead deal finance end-to-end: valuation, deal terms, quality of earnings, diligence, and close

Coordinate with Business Development, sellers, advisors, Integrations, and Operations Set post-close KPIs and run lookbacks against underwriting

Evaluate divestitures of underperforming centers

Capital Allocation (30%)Underwrite growth, expansion, and repair and maintenance projects

Track spend and returns against approved plans

Own the capital allocation framework and hurdle rates to maximize return on invested capital

Acquired Center Finance Support (10%)Provide budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for newly acquired centers

Support FP&A with reporting on the acquired center portfolio

You will work directly with the CFO, the President and GM, and the executive leadership team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field4+ years of finance experience with hands-on M&A execution

Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quality of earnings skills

Comfortable presenting recommendations to senior leadership and a board

Preferred:
