Government and Public Sector – Technology Consulting - Digital Engineering – Microsoft Functional Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications.

• Configure and implement solutions that align with business needs.

• Participate in discovery meetings with clients and prospects to understand and document their business requirements.

• Propose and design solutions using the extensive Power Platform capabilities to solve identified business requirements.

• Customize Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform applications.

• Work with developers and configuration resources to define and create specifications for any custom code or data migration requirements.

• Develop solutions to complex problems and recommend policy changes.

• Establish procedures that affect the immediate work area and possibly the broader business function.

• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results.

• Train end‑users.

• Apply analytical prowess and decision‑making based on a broad understanding of policies.

• Guide and develop junior team members.

Manager‑Level Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships.

• Create innovative insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership.

• Anticipate and identify risks, and elevate any issues as appropriate.

• Develop people through effective supervision, coaching and mentoring; foster a positive learning culture.

• Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Strong leadership skills and excellent oral and written communication.

• Experience solving problems and developing solutions.

• Prior consulting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

• 8+ years of related experience.

Proven track record of complex problem‑solving and relationship management.

• Strong understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies.

• Comfortable working in‑person as needed.

Due to the nature of our work in Government and Public Sector, work may be required at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Candidates should be willing to travel 20‑30% or more.

• Base salary range in the US: $142,600 to $261,500 (regional variations apply). For New York City, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento): $171,200 to $297,200.
