Animal Services Officer Ii

high school diploma or ged required; supplemented by three (3) years of experience as an animal control officer, law enforcement officer, code enforcement officer, or in a related field involving ordinance enforcement and the care and handling of shelter animals and wildlife; or two (2) years of experience as an animal services officer i (fulton county government police department—current or former employees only);

or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

must possess and maintain a valid georgia driver’s license. Must possess and maintain the following certificate(s) within 18 months of employment: national animal control association (naca) aco (animal control officer) i & naca aco ii.

must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.
