The Georgia Department of Labor is accepting applications to fill multiple Compliance Investigator 1- TLB positions in the Benefits Payment Control Unit. at the Georgia Department of Labor Headquarters in downtown Atlanta, GA.The positions are located at 148 Andrew Young International Blvd. NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30303.These are time limited positions subject to funding availability and the needs of the Agency.

The Compliance Investigator 1 - TLB, u nder general supervision, reviews Unemployment Insurance Identify Verification and  cases.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES Gathers pertinent documents and evidence to support findings.

Assists in preparing cases for over payment establishment, civil action and criminal prosecution.

Processes required department, state and federal reports per established guidelines.

Provides customer service to internal and external customers regarding identification verification requirements and other areas of assignment.

Responses to customer emails, faxes, phone calls and other correspondence.

Performs other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college of university

Two years of professional investigative experience with a state, federal or local governmental entity

Four or more years experience processing and/or adjudicating claims/rendering over payment determinations

Ability to use proper and effective investigative and interview techniques

Experience generating and managing high volume, detailed work, requiring critical thinking skills

Ability to use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation in reports
