OverviewThe Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise nursing operations of a Labor & Delivery unit. Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director. Lead and coach nursing staff. Foster a culture of excellence and patient safety.
Required- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 3 years of experience in a clinical area and at least 1 year in the area of specialty OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 2 years of experience in a clinical area and at least 1 year in the area of specialty
- Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
- Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units
