Provides oversight of the operations of the Central Monitoring Unit to include resolution of concerns related to human resources, telemetry capacity, scheduling issues, and equipment functionality. Works closely and serves as a communication liaison with all departments that provide telemetry monitoring. Responsible for the departmental processes that support accurate record keeping, observation of telemetry monitors, and prompt identification and escalation of cardiac rhythm changes to appropriate nursing personnel.

May perform the duties of a Monitor Technician as needed. In the absence of the manager, may assume 24-hour responsibility for the department.
