The role serves as a clinical expert providing education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation, leadership collaboration, and ethical decision‑making for patients and surgical services staff. The educator acts as a change agent, promotes quality, and may provide clinical care as needed during staffing demands. Communication of patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership occurs as required.

• Serve as a clinical expert providing education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation, leadership collaboration, and ethical decision‑making for patients and surgical services staff.
• Act as a change agent and promote quality through clinical expertise.
• Provide clinical care as needed when staffing and/or case‑load demands arise.
• Communicate patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leader(s) as needed.

• Education
  • H.S. Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program (Required)
• Work Experience
  • 2 years of Operating Room Surgical Tech experience (Required)
• Licenses and Certifications
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Required)
  • BLS certification (Required)
• Additional Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS certification (Required)
