Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of MRI technology and protocols, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Perform MRI scans on patients according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Operate MRI scanners to capture high‑quality images of patients’ internal structures.
- Monitor patients during scans and communicate any issues or concerns to the radiologist or supervising physician.
- Evaluate images to ensure they meet diagnostic standards and adjust as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, patient information, and imaging results.
- Calibrate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks to patients and staff.
- Educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review imaging results and assist with patient care decisions.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and initiatives to uphold standards of imaging excellence.
- Stay current with advancements in MRI technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State licensure or certification as required by law.
- Prior experience working as an MRI Technologist preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MRI technology, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced medical environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing imaging procedures and documenting results.
- Compassionate and patient‑centered approach to patient care.
- Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
