Clinical Dietitian

The Clinical Dietitian position at Well Star Health System’s Paulding Hospital is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients in the outpatient oncology department. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in dietetics and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare field. Experience in oncology nutrition and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a major in dietetics
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in the healthcare field

  experience with MS Office (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software)
• Capable of preparing and delivering presentations
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of menu planning and converting nutrient recommendations into food and menus
• Training in counseling and education for individual and group work
• Ability to troubleshoot problems related to special needs, such as seniors, families, low-income patients, clinical conditions, and co-morbidities
• Maintain effective relationships with other healthcare professionals when sharing patients
• Strong written, verbal, and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize patient interests and health considerations
