Job OverviewThe role of a Phlebotomist Specialist in a client office involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as the face of the company. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
BenefitsEmployees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible for 401(k) only.
Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program may be available.
Monday-Friday 8:15 am‑5:15 pm with 1‑hour lunch break. This is a full‑time position working 40 hours per week. Hours/location may change based on business needs or supervisor/management requests.
Work LocationAtlanta, GA
This position does not require you to be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19.
Job Responsibilities- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required.
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
- Assemble equipment (tourniquet, needles, disposable containers, blood collection devices, gauze, cotton, alcohol) on work tray as required for tests or procedures.
- Draw specimens from a wide range of patient cases confidently.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures and regulations.
- Verify patient or donor identity and converse with patients or donors.
- Maintain refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
- Comply with legal phlebotomy regulations.
- Handle urine analysis and other routine blood drawing procedures.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or 1 year of prior phlebotomy experience (infants/pediatrics).
- Proven track record of exceptional customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
