Mount Yonah Medical Billing is a growing 3rd‑party billing company specializing in substance abuse and mental health billing. We are located in Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody). The VOB Specialist is responsible for confirming benefits for patients seeking treatment services from our clients. This is a fast‑paced role that will keep you busy. Schedule: In Office M-F 8:30am – 5pm

Type: Full‑time

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED – AA degree preferred
• Current (five‑year) record of no felonies or substance abuse convictions

Knowledge and Training Required at Time of Hire:

• Must have two years of continuous sobriety prior to hire if a recovering alcoholic or drug addict and participate in a self‑help program
• Minimum of one year administrative experience; preferably with medical billing experience in the mental health and substance abuse field
• Knowledge of insurance submittal procedures and medical forms and coding
• Strong problem‑solving, follow‑through and analytical skills required
• Excellent English – verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast‑changing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and other medical collections software
• Attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
• Creative, self‑disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently with a sense of urgency
• Must be able to speak clearly and concisely over the telephone

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly read through and analyze VOB relative to the treatment requested
• Call private insurance companies to confirm eligibility of benefit stile>
• Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
• Input VOB data into the system accurately and understand how to obtain approved claims
• Perform other duties assigned
