Certified Surgical Tech – PRN (Job #533662)

St. Francis‑Emory Healthcare is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to work in the operating room under the supervision of a registered nurse. This position will assist surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and registered nurses in scrub and other operating room duties. The role may also include similar tasks in other areas of the hospital as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room.
• Perform technical tasks primarily in the scrub role during surgical procedures.
• Provide assistance in other hospital areas as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program, preferably from an accredited program.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a surgical technologist (preferred).
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certification as a surgical technologist (CST or TS‑C).

FLSA Status:
Non‑exempt.
