Total Travel Package: $2,636 / week
* Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for the travel package*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs MRI examinations of the brain, body, spine and extremities on patients of all ages effectively adjusting scanning parameters for different patient body habitus. Selects and modifies technical factors to enhance images; uses flare and SAT imaging techniques
- Determines appropriate equipment for scanning up to but not limited to body coils
- Must be able to closely follow a physician’s instructions, prepares and operates MRI equipment, position patients correctly and effectively record the requested diagnostic images
- Identifies gross pathology in the human body and adjusts T1 and T2 scanning parameters to provide pertinent information for interpretation.
- Performs Diffusion studies, MR Angiograms, reformats and MIP imaging
- Uses magnetic resonance and adjusts parameters to minimize exposure to patient and self
- Follows established protocols and uses scanning techniques to include, window and contrast levels, scanning time sequences, scanning delays, scanning thickness, FOV, scout images, reformatting, images reconstruct and 3-D image reconstruct.
- Photographs, archives and retrieves images
- Performs quality control for procedures and equipment. Documents systems failures and variances in the appropriate logbook and arranges for service when necessary
- Certified to start and remove IV lines for contrast studies per established departmental policy and procedure. Identifies and responds to IV contrast reactions up to and including calling emergency personnel
- Proficient in the use of an IV Contrast Power Injector
- Identifies each patient, reviews each patient's requisition and previous studies for consistency
- (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data on MRI requisition at all times
- Responsible for performing comprehensive screening of patients and other individuals before allowing them to enter the MR system room
- Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure
- Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images and ensures proper film identification on all images
- Adheres to all Amergis and worksite rules, policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
FLU VACCINATION IS REQUIRED - NO DECLINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED
Up to date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in MRI and documents travel experience.

Must have experience with Siemens MRI Scanners and Phillips MRI Scanners.
