HVS Hospitality Consulting is seeking hotel accountants who want to move from the back office into the forefront of the hotel appraisal industry. Bachelor's degree required. Starting salary $60,000 with potential to grow beyond most on‑site roles. Every Day is Different we consult on hotels and markets throughout the metro area and region. No submarket or hotel is alike. If you are tired of hotel operations monotony, join us. Our appraisers travel and learn about hundreds of submarkets and hotels, interacting with industry participants. Market studies, feasibility studies, and appraisals are our mainstay. We train new associates to produce highly credible analyses and written reports.
Ideal candidate Bachelor's degree and at least six months of hotel experience. Self‑starter looking for advancement opportunities. Passion for numbers and writing encouraged. (Hotel Revenue Manager, Hotel Accounting, and other hospitality industry professionals also a good fit.)
Job Location Atlanta, GA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform valuations of hotels and other hospitality‑related real‑estate income‑producing properties, including supply‑and‑demand analyses.
- Prepare forecasts of income and expenses.
- Write appraisals, market studies, feasibility studies, and consulting reports.
- Use HVS models to conduct analyses.
- Carry out fieldwork and property inspections as directed.
- Basic understanding of hotel operation fundamentals.
- Analyze hotel financial statements and economic, lodging, and market‑area trends to arrive at supportable supply‑and‑demand forecasts.
- Work as part of a team to meet office objectives.
- Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Travel up to 40% of the time (local drive‑to markets).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Effective organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, real estate, or hotel administration.
- Experience in hotel operations (6 months to 2 years+ preferred).
Frequent sitting at the computer or in transit to fieldwork; standing desks provided upon request. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Commuting to Atlanta office. Long drives often required to visit markets throughout the Southeast, where flying may not be convenient.

Base Pay & Benefits- $60,000 annual salary.
