Job Duties and Responsibilities- Greets guests as they arrive, focuses on personal recognition.
- Reviews arrival lists daily and assists in preparing and assembling welcome amenities.
- Expects VIPs to room and checks them in prior to arrival.
- Answers the telephone within three rings with a smile, answers questions or transfers as needed.
- Responsible for issuing cash. Counts bank at beginning and end of shift, ensures all cash drops comply with proper cash‑handling procedures, and reports all cash over/shorts to management.
- Maintains front desk area clean and organized.
- Assists with lobby activation as needed.
- Uses proper procedures when handling guest PPI data.
- Follows checkout/checkin checklist, retrieving necessary identification documents and form of payment upon arrival.
- Attends promptly to guest needs and inquiries.
- Performs various duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
- Minimum of one year in front desk operations.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel front desk operations.
- Minimum of high school education.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
- Excellent time management skills.
- The hiring process may consist of a phone interview, manager(s) interview, drug screen, background check, reference checks, and potential employment assessment.
