The Laundry Attendant works with the Housekeeping Management Team in the commercial laundry facility, ensuring linens are cleaned, stored, and distributed in a timely, organized manner. They may also be scheduled to clean guest rooms and public spaces, maintaining brand standards for timing, product use, and placement to ensure total guest satisfaction.

• Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Receive, sort, inspect, and record soiled laundry and linens, noting damaged or stained items.
• Operate washers and dryers per hotel standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Monitor laundry supplies and equipment to ensure they are sufficient and operational.
• Fold, store clean linens, and report damages to supervisor.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas and appliances.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied; report unsalable rooms per protocol.
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests, and ensure corrective action achieves complete guest satisfaction.
• Minimize waste of supplies and amenities in all laundry and housekeeping areas.
• Handle all lost and found items per established procedures.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with shifts and departmental management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous commercial laundry experience preferred.
• Background in the extended stay industry preferred.
• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing preferred; other languages are beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility frequently.
• Capacity to carry, lift, or pull up to 75 pounds.
• Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals required.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
