Human Resources Administration at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Benefits Specialist I.

This position provides benefits information and support to faculty, staff, and retirees, ensuring excellent customer service. Additionally, the role will involve assisting with the coordination of the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), FMLA, ADA and the USG Transfer process.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment ensuring that they understand the available options. Serve as a point of contact for employees with questions or issues related to their benefits and retirement offering timely and accurate responses.
- Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and assist with ongoing benefits education for staff, faculty and retirees. Communicate open enrollment information and changes in benefits plans, policies, or procedures to employees in a clear and accessible manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all faculty, staff and retirees, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a processional and efficient manner.
- Assist with coordinating the administration of the university's Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), including eligibility verification, application processing, and program information. Assist employees in applying for and understanding the terms and benefits of the TAP program. Assist with FMLA and ADA eligibility and processing.
- Ensure smooth transitions by coordinating incoming and outgoing transfers within the University System of Georgia.
- Other duties as assigned to support Human Resources Administration.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to address and resolve concerns effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of benefits programs and enrollment processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with benefits administration software and/or HRIS systems is preferred.
