OverviewHuman Capital Management Training Specialist within the Human Resources Administration (HRA) division of the Dept. Of Administrative Services.
This role supports Georgia agencies in the implementation of talent solutions, talent acquisition support, and performance management state-wide programs. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, data-driven, detail-oriented contributor who can provide training, consultation, analysis, and technical expertise around talent acquisition and performance management, develop and deliver training across the state, and support system implementation.
Responsibilities- Deliver training and content related to the State’s newest human resources information system Workday (GA@WORK).
- Provide training and resources to agency recruiters on talent pool optimization, internship program development, interviewing, hiring best practices, and Workday-based recruiting processes.
- Research GA@WORK training best practices to support continuous program improvement.
- Analyze GA@WORK-related data and generate graphic and narrative reports and presentations.
- Maintain and update training materials, exercises, hand‑outs, and exams to reflect best practices and policy changes, responding to student feedback.
- Conduct instructor‑led training virtually and in‑person to deliver HRA‑approved courses to state entity staff.
- Utilize training environments and other tools to lead student activities.
- Assist with maintenance of HRA’s Learning Management System (LMS) including enrollment requests, course access, and administrative activities.
- Respond to requests from a variety of stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience delivering training through multiple methods (in‑person, online, virtual, multimedia).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating effectively with audiences at all levels.
- Strong program management and organizational skills – manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Aptitude for learning and using technology for training design and data analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Willingness to travel as required.
• High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of job‑related experience in human resources; OR one (1) year of experience qualified at the lower‑level HR Specialist 2 (HRP
021) level or equivalent position. Combinations of education, experience, training, or certifications that provide the required knowledge and skills may be considered.
- Experience using Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization (Management), or other Workday modules as an administrator or trainer.
- Experience with HRIS systems training.
• LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. The position is in a hybrid work environment; telework is encouraged with some office days required. Travel may be required. This role is subject to annual budget restrictions, with the initial contract through the end of the fiscal year and anticipated renewal on July 1.
