Job SummaryManage and coordinate human resources services and programs within a college or organizational unit of major size. Serve as primary contact within the unit on matters related to human resources issues. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.
Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate human resources related activity within the college to include employment, employee relations, compensation/benefits, etc.
- Confer with and advise administration, faculty and staff regarding human resources policy, procedures and practices.
- Communicate new policies or changes in existing policy throughout organization.
- Serve as representative to Institute level human resources organization including serving on committees and providing policy input.
- Coordinate the investigation and resolution of human resources related issues.
- Provide input to college's or unit's strategic planning efforts with regard to human resources.
- Organize college or unit's human resources support function, assign and monitor staff activity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six to eight years of job related experience.
Working knowledge of human resources policies and procedures; verbal and written communications, organization and supervision, customer service and planning; use of office and specialized computer applications and database systems is required.
