Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its HR Administrative Assistant II (Part‑Time) position in the Human Resources division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College's main campus, just south of Atlanta.
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing administrative duties related to human resources at Atlanta Technical College. This position reports to the HR Director in the HR Department. It is a part‑time position, up to twenty‑nine (29) hours per week.
Responsibilities- Provides administrative support with tasks related to calendar management and managing the human resources email inbox.
- Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from internal and external individuals related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior‑level HR staff or management.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human‑resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Assists the HR Generalists with scheduling interviews and preparing documents for interviews.
- Performs advanced and diversified clerical duties requiring a comprehensive level of experience.
- Performs and completes tasks and assignments associated with personnel support functions for the Office of Human Resources, which may include completing verifications of employment, reference checks, and related tasks.
- Conducts research using a variety of sources to complete, prepare, assemble, process, and/or generate reports and other documentation (e.g., Contact List for President's Office & Retirement List).
- Enters data from forms, records, reports, and/or other sources into computer for purposes such as maintaining databases.
- Manages the Faith Service Awards for Atlanta Technical College.
- Manages the Quarterly Employee Newsletter for Atlanta Technical College.
- Uses computer software as a tool for performing clerical assignments.
- Creates and submits requisitions for approval to the HR Director related to supplies, badges and other HR invoices.
- Submits Facilities, IT, and Campus Safety work order requests on behalf of the HR office.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Must possess and demonstrate a high school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience performing clerical tasks in a confidential environment.
Preferred QualificationsMust possess and demonstrate an associate's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and one (1) year of related work experience.
Physical RequirementsSome lifting of up to 5 pounds may be required.
