Job Summary

Serve as subject matter expert in the area of employee relations. Drive consistent interpretation and application of workplace policies, and provide other support necessary to champion and drive a culture of accountability and fairness. Work with employees and management to resolve work‑related issues, handle investigations, and consult with department leadership regarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Core responsibilities:

    Design and implement standardized processes, develop employment content. Upskill internal partners and manage performance proactively/effectively. Integrate and leverage resources to promote measurable, collaborative interventions and facilitate workshops. Establish a continuous learning and improvement model that is measurable and aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of complaints, including interviewing complainants, witnesses, and respondents; gather evidence as necessary; prepare investigative reports with analysis, findings, and recommendations for disciplinary or corrective actions.
  • Liaise between management, employees, and Human Resources, answering questions and helping resolve work‑related problems.
  • Provide advice and consultation to managers on organizational policy matters such as progressive discipline, equal employment opportunity, and sexual harassment, and recommend changes.
  • Interpret and counsel on human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Conduct training sessions on employment‑related matters, including discipline, personnel policies, mandated work rules, EEO, and Title IX, and compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Prepare new or amended policies and procedures in response to legislation changes and ensure continued compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Develop ad hoc management surveys or reports related to metrics or analytics; complete special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required Experience:

    Five to six years of job‑related experience.
  • Preferred Educational

    Qualifications:

    Juris Doctorate.
  • Preferred Experience:

    Four years of experience in Employee Relations.
  • Preferred

    Skills:

    Strategic advisory, experience with people systems, data‑informed decision making, organizational development, ability to facilitate workshops and develop workshop content related to performance management, experience with process improvement, policy development, and administration, excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, and human capital planning.
  • Additional

    Preferred Qualifications:

    PHR or SPHR (or similar SHRM certification).
Salary

Salary Range: $72,783–$99,572 per year.
