HRIS Professional, Recruiter, HR / Recruitment Consultant, HR Manager
The HR & Payroll Admin is responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and administering HR-related tasks. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with labor laws, benefits administration, and providing support to employees on HR-related inquiries. Additionally, the HR & Payroll Admin may assist in recruitment, onboarding, and other HR functions as needed.
Responsibilities- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to more senior position.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Performs periodic audits to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Acts as onboarding owner in HRIS for New Hires. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee's hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Processes garnishments, DOL information requests, and payroll reporting requirements to government agencies.
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Maintains and troubleshoots issues related to payroll and timekeeping modules in HRIS.
- Provides assistance with other HR department related initiatives including running reports in HRIS and LMS, overseeing random drug testing, HR tickets for new hires and terminations, assigning training, etc.
- Documents and updates HR processes, policies, and procedures.
- Assists in year-end payroll process.
- Performs other duties as assigned
* Candidates MUST have full cycle payroll processing experience including audit of all pre-payroll data, reviewing adjustments, report and billing generation, updating retirement plan contributions, and GL export. MUST have experience with quarterly and year end payroll processes including payroll tax reconciliation, quarterly reporting, W2 preparation, yearend balancing. *
Qualifications- Minimum 2 years full cycle payroll experience
- Experience using HRIS a must, UKG Pro experience a plus.
- Must be detail Oriented.
- Familiarity with employment laws.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a professional office environment.
