The Senior Human Resources Generalist role provides comprehensive operational HR support to an assigned HR Business Partner, enabling them to focus on strategic initiatives while you handle day-to-day HR functions. As a senior-level generalist, you will manage a broad range of HR activities, serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers, provide first‑line employee relations, performance management, compliance with policies and regulations, and contribute to HR projects that align with business objectives.
This position is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and excels at both tactical execution and collaborative partnership.
- Partner closely with assigned HR Business Partner to support HR strategies, providing operational support for talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR-related topics.
- Serve as a trusted advisor regarding employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions, escalating complex matters to the HRBP as needed.
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to support and inform data‑driven decisions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in compliance with changing federal, state and local regulations.
- Contribute to special projects, such as process improvements, system implementations, culture initiatives and ad‑hoc initiatives.
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a generalist role.
- Experience supporting HR Business Partners or in a matrixed organization is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Bamboo
HR) and Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in employee relations, performance and talent management.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field.
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
