Data Engineer Advisor

We are seeking a Data Engineer Advisor to lead the design and implementation of robust reporting infrastructure and data pipelines.

This role involves architecting data storage solutions, defining data models, ensuring data quality and security, and mentoring team members.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data warehousing, reporting tools, and data integration processes.

• Design Reporting Infrastructure:
  Architect data storage, transformation, and delivery systems including data warehouses, lakes, and reporting databases.
• Define Data Models:
  Create logical and physical data models optimized for reporting and analysis, including fact-dimensional modeling.
• Develop Data Pipelines:
  Implement ETL/ELT processes to ensure accurate and high-quality data delivery.
• Select and Implement Reporting Tools:
  Configure platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos to integrate with data infrastructure.
• Ensure Data Quality and Security:
  Apply data quality checks and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
• Provide Technical Leadership:
  Mentor data engineers and analysts, optimize reporting system performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure with business needs.

• 8–10 years of experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, data marts, and scalable data storage solutions.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages.
• Extensive experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos.
• Deep expertise in ETL processes and data integration from multiple sources.
• Solid understanding of data governance and security principles.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of reporting systems.
• Background in mentoring and leading technical teams.
