We are seeking a skilled HL7 Developer with hands‑on experience in Mirth Connect to design, develop, and support healthcare data integration solutions. The role focuses on building and maintaining HL7 interfaces, ensuring interoperability across healthcare systems, and supporting secure and compliant data exchange. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HL7 standards, healthcare workflows, and integration tools, with a passion for improving healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain HL7 interfaces using Mirth Connect (Next Gen Connect Integration Engine)
- Collaborate with healthcare partners and internal teams to implement integration solutions for EHR/EMR, lab, and pharmacy systems
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and apply security best practices in all data exchanges
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HL7 messaging, data transformation, and routing
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for interfaces, workflows, and configurations
- Monitor interface health, optimize Mirth channel performance, and provide ongoing support
- Support additional healthcare standards such as FHIR, CCD, CDA, X12, and NCPDP (optional)
- Experience with FHIR, CCD, CDA, X12, or NCPDP standards
- Familiarity with cloud-based healthcare integration (AWS/Azure)
- Prior experience integrating with pharmacy, imaging, or lab systems
- Mirth Connect certification or equivalent training
