SALARY RANGE: $71,552.00 - $93,038.40

Overview

Location:

Ft. Gillem and OCONUS

Eligible for sign-on bonus.

This position involves planning, coordinating, and conducting forensic examinations and analysis of digital, electronic, and mobile device data, including but not limited to hard drives, thumb drives, memory cards, and cellular devices.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing forensic examinations on digital media using specialized equipment and software.
• Assisting with complex digital forensics to discover and analyze deleted or hidden information.
• Examining evidence to determine the best exploitation strategy, safeguarding evidence, and reviewing findings.
• Disassembling devices as needed, searching and extracting targeted data, and analyzing data for relevant information.
• Documenting findings in the WEAT database, preparing reports, and conducting reviews.
• Participating in quality control activities such as instrument maintenance and calibration.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree preferred, with 4-6 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in forensic examinations on digital media and proficiency with tools like Cellbrite, EnCase, Axiom, XRY, FTK, and Xways.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, especially for technical reports and briefs.
• Knowledge of steganography and encryption detection.
• Ability to manage large data sets and perform deep dives into electronic media.
• Must pass medical requirements for deployment and obtain/maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Certifications such as GFCE, GFCA, CFCE, ACE, EnCE, CCO, CPA, and CCME are desirable.
