Senior Solution Architect

Overview

Senior Solution Architect - Atlanta - Services. Hybrid.

As a Backbase Solution Architect, you are accountable for designing solutions which integrate Backbase products at banks and other financial institutions, supporting them in achieving their technology and business outcomes. On a project-by-project basis you hold a key role in the Core Team, working directly with customers to deliver tangible results in the engagement. Working with Business Analysts, Product Owners and Engineering Managers, you help to drive an optimised backlog to develop solutions and bring them into production.

You are able to understand, translate and satisfy complex requirements and can authoritatively represent and position Backbase products and services, guiding their effective use. You maximise product alignment to deliver optimal solution architectures, whilst minimising and rationalising technical debt. You enable effective and traceable decision making with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor focused on achieving the best outcomes for all parties.

• Has worked as an SA, SME or in a consultant role previously.
• Is able to effectively guide and govern solution design.
• Has a strong technical background in modern software language(s) and solution design (e.g. Java, Spring, Angular, Microservices, Integration patterns).
• Is principled with regard to SDLC & Secure SDLC.
• Understands the importance of well defined non-functional requirements, balancing them with functional requirements.
• Has a broad and up to date understanding of common infrastructure patterns.
• Is savvy in key areas such as Cloud services, virtualization, containerisation & orchestration, security, connectivity etc.
• Selects the most effective tools to enable decision making (e.g. options papers, sequence diagrams, topology diagrams, component illustrations).

• Previous Backbase implementation experience
• Previous experience in Financial Services, Banking, Fintech
• Previous experience delivering Professional Services for a product company

  Defines and is guided by well defined design principles; can break down complex problems, articulate options and drive solutioning; manages technical debt and impact; records and manages design decisions with traceable rationale.
