• Assess data management technologies and practices, identifying gaps between current state and a well-targeted future state.
• Interpret and deliver strategic plans to improve data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps.
• Formulate and articulate architectural trade-offs across solution options and recommend an optimal solution that meets technical requirements.
• Lead teams of data engineers and other technical members through design, implementation, and best practices.
• Provide insights to executive stakeholders and development teams to maximize the value of client data across the organization.
• Ensure solutions provide business value and align with client strategic goals.
• Communicate with non-technical executives to convey the value of modern enterprise data solutions.
• Drive innovative technology solutions through thought leadership on emerging trends.
• Share project solutions and outcomes to improve delivery on future projects.
• Provide leadership within the Data & Analytics practice area to grow capabilities and talent.
• Partner with Cap Tech’s business development team to demonstrate capabilities, propose solutions, and estimate proposed work plans.

• 7+ years of experience implementing a variety of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytical technologies.
• Advanced proficiency in modern data architectures; cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP); real-time data distribution (Kafka, Kinesis, Data Flow, Airflow);

• Advanced proficiency in end-to-end data architecture solutions including ingestion, storage, and relational modeling; proficiency with SQL and Python.
• Ability to relate architectural decisions to business needs and client culture; assess traditional and modern components based on business needs.
• Experience in recommending data governance best practices including MDM, security, privacy, and policies.
• Experience leading enterprise engineering teams through implementations; serve as POC on design decisions and best practices.

• Experience in data governance and mentorship within Data & Analytics practice areas.
• Thought leadership and internal engagement with leadership and innovation across the enterprise.
• Awareness and ongoing education around emerging technologies in the data landscape.
