SummaryThe Programmatic Product Manager – CNN will work across CNN and WBD Ad Platforms to deliver best‑in‑class programmatic experiences on CNN that aim to increase revenue, reduce latency, and improve page performance. This role can accomplish this by working across WBD Ad Platform and CNN Ad Experience to define, experiment, and deliver net‑new solutions. In addition, you will support our existing ad products and integrations.
This role requires active communication across multiple stakeholders and consistent prioritization to deliver on outcomes.
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates to the CNN Ad Product team on ongoing projects, roadmap progress, and net‑new opportunities.
- Embed within the CNN Ad Product work streams (Ad Platform and Ad Innovation) to understand CNN ad business objectives and feature‑level goals.
- Document and define requirements from the WBD Programmatic teams impacting CNN code (e.g., in‑house ad platform changes).
- Define ad product requirements and partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to enable programmatic monetization opportunities.
- Build reports and troubleshoot ad‑delivery issues including viewability, capacity, and STR.
- Acceptance‑test new integrations and work with QA to create test cases and identify issues before production.
- Own the CNN backlog across WBD Programmatic Development to drive business outcomes (increase revenue, decrease latency, etc.).
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with a demonstrated record of launching and improving advertising or ad‑tech products, ideally in programmatic or related spaces.
- Proven record of drafting, defining, and delivering on an Ad Product and Technology roadmap.
- Practical knowledge of programmatic ad technology (bid requests/responses, auction mechanics, deal types such as PMP, PG, Open Auction).
- Experience partnering with DSPs, SSPs, agencies, or other third‑party ad platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with a data‑driven approach to delivering business impact.
- Comfort working with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Management Information Systems, Computer Science), or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with web debugging tools such as Charles Proxy, Wireshark, Fiddler, etc.
- Practical knowledge of ad trafficking and/or experience with Google Ad Manager.
