, we’re building an Enterprise AI Agent platform that reinvents how knowledge work happens—how people and AI agents collaborate to get work done better and faster. You’ll be the hands‑on leader responsible for building the core of our product: the Agent.
We’re hiring a Technical Lead who is deeply technical and can architect cutting‑edge AI systems while remaining hands‑on with implementation. You’ll guide the technical direction of our platform while mentoring senior engineers and driving engineering excellence across the team.
Who You AreWe’re seeking a dynamic Forward Deployed Engineer who thrives in fast‑paced customer environments and brings deep technical expertise in AI agents. You’ll work directly with enterprise clients to design, build, and deploy custom AI agent solutions while serving as the technical bridge between customers and our engineering team. You bring a "big motor"—the drive and energy to be first in the office, last to leave, and passionate about making customers successful.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Understand the Customer Requirements and ideal target pieces for an Agent
- Define the success criteria for the AI agent
- Build and deploy production‑ready AI agents that solve real business problems for enterprise customers
- Lead proof of concept (POC) development and transition agents from pilot to production
- Architect and implement custom AI agent solutions tailored to specific customer workflows and requirements
- Provide hands‑on technical implementation support, including Python development, SQL database work, and AWS infrastructure
- Develop example agents that demonstrate platform capabilities and best practices
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the AI agent stack, from integration challenges to performance optimization
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration guides, and deployment runbooks
- Act as the Technical Account Manager (TAM) for assigned customers, ensuring ongoing success and value realization
- Build deep relationships with customer technical teams and key stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with Sema
4.ai’s engineering team to provide customer feedback and drive product improvements - Conduct technical workshops and training sessions to enable customer teams
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Sema
4.ai’s AI agent platform and emerging AI technologies - Understand customer business challenges and translate them into technical agent solutions
- Deliver compelling technical demonstrations showcasing the platform’s capabilities
- Provide technical guidance on integration with existing enterprise systems
- 3-4+ years of experience ideally in a consulting firm, systems integration role, or similar customer‑facing technical position
