Department InformationThe School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Applicants will be considered at all ranks.
Beyond our hiring focus areas mentioned above, the 50+ faculty members of the School of Interactive Computing also pursue research on artificial intelligence and machine learning; human-centered computing and cognitive science; information visualization and visual analytics; learning science and technology, and computing education; robotics; computational journalism; ubiquitous and wearable computing; and virtual and augmented environments. Together, these areas form a rich, panoramic view of the myriad ways computing and computational devices interact with their human creators and users.
Job SummaryWe seek applications in the broader areas of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, and Social Computing. While these areas are of strategic importance to the School and the Institute, we will consider truly outstanding candidates in all areas of computing research that support the School s interdisciplinary mission and expand it in strategic directions.
ResponsibilitiesTenure-track professors are expected to teach one course per semester, provide service to the School and the Institute, and engage in substantive research with collaborators in other disciplines.
Required QualificationsApplicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or related field, prior to the start date.
