Network Security Architect

Our financial services client is seeking a Network Security Architect to design, implement, and evolve a modern, secure network architecture across on‑prem and cloud environments. This role will be highly focused on cloud networking, zero trust principles, and micro‑segmentation
, partnering closely with infrastructure, cloud, and security engineering teams to reduce attack surface and strengthen overall security posture.

This is a hands‑on architecture role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to influence standards and roadmaps in a regulated environment.

This position is a hybrid role, requiring 4x a week onsite with 1 day remote near Buckhead/Midtown.

• Design and own network security architecture across hybrid and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Lead the strategy and implementation of micro‑segmentation to limit lateral movement and enforce least‑privilege access.
• Define and implement zero trust network principles
  , including secure connectivity between applications, services, and users.
• Partner with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to embed security into new designs and migrations.
• Evaluate, select, and optimize network security tools and platforms (firewalls, segmentation, NDR, SDN).
• Develop architecture standards, reference designs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure solutions align with financial services regulatory and compliance requirements

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams.

• 8+ years of experience in network security, network architecture, or security engineering
  .
• Strong hands‑on experience designing cloud network security architectures
  .
• Proven experience implementing micro‑segmentation in enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing
  , and network security controls.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure (networking and security services).
• Familiarity with zero trust architectures and modern security frameworks.
• Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environments

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
