Company Description

KWSM is a full‑service digital marketing agency made up of journalists. We specialize in website development & SEO, social media strategy & management, content creation, PR & influencer marketing, and digital advertising. Clients hire us to create integrated digital marketing strategies to generate leads or sales. Half our clients are B2B and half are B2C. We have offices in Orange County, CA;
San Diego, CA; and Atlanta, GA.

We are looking for a front‑end designer/developer to create new websites and refresh existing ones for our clients. As part of a digital marketing team, you will collaborate with strategists, copywriters, and SEO specialists to build an outstanding online presence that drives traffic and converts it into leads or sales.

We expect our web designer/developers to have design capabilities in addition to the ability (or willingness) to build out a website. You must be able to listen to a client’s goals and ideas, and create a website that exceeds their expectations. You will have responsibility for your own client projects, but will be part of a tight‑knit, high‑performing team to help you succeed.

• Possess excellent design skills
• Be familiar and experienced with Word Press & Shopify development, and Google web tools
• Have a thorough understanding of website hosting management and DNS settings
• Work efficiently and be able to juggle several projects at once
• Prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines without fail
• Cultivate an understanding of digital lead generation and conversion rate optimization
• Understand Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Care deeply about creating work that delivers results

This isn’t a project‑based gig; we will continue to tweak a website until the client is thrilled or a landing page until our ads are converting. We design great‑looking sites that also must work to generate leads or sales.

You’ll be given the freedom to share ideas and expertise. We operate on a 9/80 work schedule—every other Friday off—and a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days  offer health insurance, a 401(k) plan, three weeks of paid vacation, eleven paid holidays a year, and many opportunities for internal promotion, mentoring, professional development, and leadership.

Both full‑time and part‑time positions are available.
