Product Manager – HD Supply
Develop and execute product roadmaps that align with business objectives and customer needs. Partner with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and drive product decisions that deliver value.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Develop a deep understanding of customer and associate needs to inform product decisions.
- Translate business goals and user needs into product strategy, communicating direction and priorities to stakeholders.
- Establish and monitor key metrics to assess product value, continuously refining the roadmap based on insights.
- Conduct end‑user research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and guide product development.
- Align product initiatives with company priorities and stakeholder expectations to drive business values.
- Create, prioritize, and manage epic‑level stories, integrating user research and testing to refine assumptions and hypotheses.
- Collaborate with engineering, user experience, and other teams to resolve obstacles, optimize product performance, and translate complex technical concepts into non‑technical language for stakeholders.
- Represent the end user by advocating for their needs and ensuring an exceptional product experience.
- Stakeholder Management
- Partner with data consumers (engineering, analytics, business teams) to define requirements and prioritize features.
- Roadmap Development & Prioritization
- Define and maintain a data platform roadmap aligned to business needs and technical capabilities.
- Backlog Grooming & Agile Execution
- Translate data use cases into epics and user stories; work with engineering on iterative delivery.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate across engineering, data governance, architecture, and compliance teams.
- User‑Centric Mindset
- Drive product decisions based on end‑user needs (e.g., analysts, data scientists, product teams).
- Snowflake & Data Platform‑Specific Skills
- Understanding of Snowflake Architecture
- Familiarity with concepts like virtual warehouses, Snowpipe, data sharing, and external tables.
- Data Modeling & Warehousing Concepts
- Comfort with dimensional models, normalization, denormalization, and data pipelines.
- Experience working with tools like Tableau or Power BI integrated with Snowflake.
- Bonus / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- SQL Proficiency – Ability to query datasets and validate features independently.
- Familiarity with Data Ops & CI/CD Pipelines – especially if Snowflake is part of a larger automated stack.
- Experience with Data Products or APIs – exposing data as a service internally or externally.
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2‑5 years of experience in a related field or MS/MA with 2‑4 years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
