Senior Systems Analyst (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only)
Location: Hybrid (Onsite presence required)
Contract: Through end of fiscal year, with anticipated renewal on July 1 (subject to budget approval)
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to provide hands‑on technical leadership within a team of systems analysts and administrators. This role is critical in supporting end users, maintaining the reliability of core IT systems, and serving as the escalation point for complex technical issues across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in Microsoft enterprise environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and third‑party vendors to deliver high‑quality IT services.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the escalation point for complex hardware, software, and network issues, guiding teams through effective resolution.
- Provide hands‑on support and administration for Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Windows OS, Microsoft Teams, VPN, and RDP.
- Act as the primary liaison with third‑party vendors, coordinating advanced support and ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Research, recommend, and implement technical solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support ongoing maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality IT support aligned with IT service‑management best practices.
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with proven expertise in Microsoft enterprise environments.
- Strong hands‑on experience with:
Office 365 / Microsoft 365, Active Directory & AD Domain Services, Exchange Server, Windows Client & Windows Server. - 5+ years working in a Microsoft enterprise environment, including:
Windows infrastructure configuration using Group Policy and scripting, Power Shell automation and task execution, solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. - 3+ years of experience in Active Directory upgrades, consolidations, or migrations.
- 2+ years supporting Office/Microsoft 365, including at least 1 year of mailbox migrations.
- 1+ year of experience with ADFS or Azure Active Directory, including understanding of SAML 2.0 and cloud‑based SSO.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Experience coordinating with third‑party technical support vendors.
- Strong documentation and knowledge‑sharing skills.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS / EM+S).
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (Windows Server, Office 365, Azure).
- Knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to supporting internal users.
- Local candidates only – onsite presence is required as part of a hybrid schedule.
