THE POSITION

Our roster has an opening with your name on it.

We're looking for a Product Designer to join our team in Atlanta or NYC, working on our Flywheel-New Ventures Product team. You’ll be part of the team that owns, enhances, and evolves Fan Duel Picks, Predicts, Fantasy, and other new initiatives, ensuring we meet both user and business needs to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a designer with growing confidence and skill who’s ready to help us deliver innovative, new features and build upon existing experiences that our customers love.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

Everyone on our team has a part to play.

A Product Designer at Fan Duel delivers value through strong design execution, thoughtful problem-solving, and growing strategic influence. This role is about establishing yourself by refining your craft, increasing your visibility, and contributing meaningfully to team goals and user outcomes.

You’ll work independently on moderately complex projects while collaborating closely with product management, research, engineering, and content design. You’re confident in managing ambiguity, learning from feedback, and elevating the design process for your team.

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for product features and enhancements, including discovery, ideation, prototyping, execution, and iteration.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define problem spaces, inform prioritization, and shape roadmaps with a user‑first perspective.
  • Translate research and data insights into design decisions that balance user value and business outcomes.
  • Craft thoughtful, intuitive UI with strong attention to interaction, hierarchy, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure designs are built to spec, resolving implementation details and providing assets/documentation as needed.
  • Prototype and visualize ideas with clarity—ranging from early explorations to polished concepts for stakeholder and executive presentations.
  • Collaborate with the analytics and researcher teams to analyze findings and inform design direction.
  • Help strengthen Fan Duel’s design systems and promote consistency, scalability, and cohesion across surfaces and features.
THE STATS

What we're looking for in our next teammate.

You’re a seasoned product designer with emerging expertise in one or more areas of the design craft. You’ve contributed to multiple shipped products and played a key role in shaping experiences that meet both user and business goals. You bring strong design execution, independent problem-solving, and a thoughtful user-centered approach.

  • 3+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates ownership of end-to-end product design workflows across platforms.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and deliver on moderately complex design projects, from discovery through execution.
  • Skilled in collaborating with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into user-centered design solutions.
  • Strong grasp of visual hierarchy, layout, information architecture, and accessibility best practices.
  • Proficiency in applying research insights to shape features and improve usability, either through independent testing or collaboration with UX researchers.
  • Adept at using Figma and other modern design tools to create scalable, system-driven experiences.
  • Clear and confident communicator—able to present design rationale, advocate for users, and align teams around shared goals.
  • Experience contributing to or evolving a design system, with an understanding of how to maintain consistency across a product ecosystem.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and context-switching across multiple priorities, while seeking feedback to improve.
  • Bonus:
Interest in sports and experience designing sports, fintech, or media/gaming products is preferred, but not required.
