DMI, LLC is seeking a Jr. Hardware Support Technician to join us.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in performing basic hardware maintenance and troubleshooting for government‑owned and furnished equipment in compliance with CDC standards.
- Support staging, shipping, and installation logistics for warranty and non‑warranty repair processes.
- Inspect and test repaired equipment to verify functionality before returning to service.
- Document hardware issues, repairs, and resolutions in Service Now, ensuring accurate tracking of assets.
- Provide basic packing and crating support for IT equipment shipped for vendor repairs.
- Coordinate with senior technicians and logistics teams to ensure secure shipping and handling of IT assets.
- Assist in hardware support for workstations, printers, and peripherals across various CDC locations.
- Follow CDC security protocols and report any hardware discrepancies, damages, or missing equipment.
- Maintain proper inventory records for repaired and replaced hardware components.
Education and Years of
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or other related field plus 0‑2 years of experience, or
- High School Diploma plus 6‑8 years of experience.
