iO Associates are currently partnered with a tech company that deploys AI-assisted teams to build and secure mission-critical enterprise solutions with their clients spanning software, cybersecurity, data, and AI.
We’re seeking a Cloud Security Solution Architect to join our Info Sec team in a highly visible, hands-on leadership role. You’ll be responsible for defining, implementing, and enforcing cloud security best practices across client environments primarily in Microsoft Azure, with some exposure to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
This role is ideal for a self-driven security architect who thrives in ownership, collaborates confidently with senior leadership, and enjoys working directly with engineering teams to build secure, scalable cloud solutions.
What You’ll Do- Cloud Security Architecture & Operations:
Design, implement, and monitor security controls across Azure environments using Wiz. - Risk & Vulnerability Management:
Identify and remediate security risks, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps. - Technical Leadership:
Provide architectural oversight, hands-on guidance, and security reviews for cloud initiatives. - Mentorship:
Coach and support junior engineers while fostering a strong security-first culture. - Executive & Client
Collaboration:
Partner with C-level stakeholders to align cloud security strategy with business objectives. - Reporting & Visibility:
Translate cloud security posture into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay ahead of evolving threats, tools, and best practices to strengthen security capabilities.
- Proven experience developing and implementing cloud security reference architectures, patterns, and standards.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including databases, storage, networking, and application platforms.
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code deployments.
- Proficiency with Git Hub for version control and collaboration.
- Solid foundation in cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Experience working directly with clients to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Ability to continuously refine scope and validate evolving security needs.
- Bonus:
Experience with Crowd Strike EDR.
- 100% remote role (must be comfortable working West Coast hours)
- No travel required
