Job SummaryProvide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory, including instrument setup, operation, maintenance, cleaning, and supply management. The role will interact regularly with faculty, staff, and students, providing lab user support.
Responsibilities- Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in lab tests and experiments.
- Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
- Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
- May clean instruments, glassware, and other lab equipment.
- Prepare and process laboratory samples for assigned tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Required ExperienceUp to two years of job related experience
SkillsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: working knowledge of instrumentation and other lab equipment, laboratory processes, inventory management, and specialised computer applications.
