Sr. AWS Data Architect (Solutions Architect) – 052706

Capgemini is seeking a Senior AWS Data Architect (Solutions Architect) with deep experience in designing and delivering end-to-end data solutions on AWS, leading teams, and coaching engineers. This role requires strong communication, adaptability, and a willingness to work across delivery landscapes including Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment. Travel within North America up to 80% of the work week may be required.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end data solutions (data acquisition, ingestion, storage, management, visualization, integration, and access) using AWS services and platforms.
• Act as a team leader, coach, and mentor to other Engineers.
• Build, deploy, and manage applications within AWS environments; contribute to Dev Ops and/or Data Ops practices with deployment automation, data pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Coach others on the difference between good software and working software; communicate effectively and build trust through reliability and value delivery.
• Demonstrate adaptability, creativity, and a continuous learning mindset; act as a change agent to challenge and improve delivery approaches.
• Be able to work and travel within North America up to 80% of the work week.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field or a code school/academy certificate.
• 8 years’ experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with Python, SQL, R, Java, Julia, Scala, Tensor Flow, Matlab (or equivalent).
• 2 years’ experience leading the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end solutions using AWS services.
• 2 years’ experience as a team leader, coach, and/or mentor of Engineers.
• Experience building and managing applications in AWS; familiarity with Dev Ops/Data Ops practices and automation.
• To be technically strong in one or more areas; ability to coach on software quality versus functionality.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills; comfortable with frequent interaction with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work across delivery landscape and travel as needed; adaptable and customer-focused.
