SAP GL Consultant/Senior Manager

SAP FTM/General FICO (General Ledger and Baseline Controlling knowledge)

Years of Experience Per Level: 4-7+ years of SAP implementation experience

• The SAP FICO-GL Team Member will be focused on implementation and support activities of the S4 1909/ 2020 system. The SAP FI Team Member requires and in-depth knowledge of US accounting business processes specifically in the areas of GL and CO and the following FICO module configuration experience including but limited to:
• Must be knowledgeable of the following General Ledger/ Controlling configuration and business scenarios
• Organizational Structure (Company, Company Code, Controlling Area, etc.)
• Chart of Accounts and GL Account design/configuration
• PC/CC Hierarchies and master
• Open Item Management Configuration and Design of GL Accounts
• Substitution/ Validation Rules
• Intercompany entries and reconciliation
• Leading/Parallel Ledger configuration
• FX Currency revaluation
• Financial Statement Version Configuration
• Period End configuration: reclassification, carry forward configuration
• Experience with closing cockpit and accrual engine preferred but not required
• Integration with MDG and BPC preferred but not required
• Cost Allocations
  - Distributions/Assessments (preferred but not required)
• Additional Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Provide functional direction/management to the project team’s offshore and junior resources. Manage work stream’s team deliverables to the project schedule
• Possesses the ability to organize activities, set priorities, handle multiple tasks, make or guide client to a decision/ resolution
• Interface with functional BPOs to define the business processes and requirements that will be enabled by SAP and may be required for Functional specification documents.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere and to work with client personnel at various levels effectively is critical. Supports and helps develop power users in the business
• Supports needed audit and compliance efforts
• Supports SAP upgrades and testing of S4 1909 to 2020
• Identify critical issues, scope changes, opportunities and escalates to program management as appropriate.
• Works with cross-functional groups in the program to identify and develop solutions to business issues and opportunities in their area of expertise.
• Defines functional / technical requirements for change requests and interfaces with the development team for completion
• Supports the development of training materials and documentation, as well as provides Train the trainer- sessions as required
• Participates in the process integration and user acceptance testing (to include positive and negative security role testing). Must be able to write Integration test scripts
• Effectively manages and resolves defects.
• Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

• You have a leading role in projects with strong client exposure. You are responsible for functional and technical guidance over the whole project or application lifecycle and you act as a client-facing lead developer. You drive sales opportunities within your area of responsibility. You know future developments in several applications and/or technologies and you are seen as subject matter expert within your unit and beyond.
• Qualification:
  
  9-13 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification:
  Should have SE level 2 and seeking level 3.
• Should be master in Package Configuration.
• Must have experience in Architecture Knowledge, Testing and Vendor Management.
• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge & Technical Solution Design.
