The SAP Automotive Industry- GTM/ Delivery/ Solution Architect is a Transformation Leader and must demonstrate they understand Capgemini's approach to Transformational Change and can convince clients of our ability to lead and deliver change on a complex program. Understands the relationship between change activities and the broader program delivery, able to consider this in both solution and delivery execution. The SAP Automotive Industry Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Architect requires specialized knowledge of the automotive sector, combined with deep expertise in SAP solutions to address the unique challenges of automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics providers.
The SME will combine extensive knowledge of automotive processes, SAP expertise, and strategic insight to drive digital transformation, process optimization, and operational excellence in automotive companies. You will play a pivotal role in implementing solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, optimize the supply chain, and enhance customer service in a competitive and rapidly evolving industry.
Your Role- Design, implement, manage and pre‑sell SAP solutions tailored to the unique needs of the automotive industry.
- Build and maintain commercially productive relationships with multiple complementary third‑party organizations at a regional level.
- Lead and assist customers and sales operations in complex project delivery.
- Demonstrate aptitude for rapidly adopting new technologies or value propositions relevant across Capgemini lines of business.
- Commit to continuous learning and industry expertise.
- Develop and deliver proposal and presentation content, and marketing materials across multiple industry sectors for presales opportunities.
- Own and deliver complete proposal responses, including executive summaries, for external opportunities.
- Estimate effort required to deliver project scope and propose optimal resources.
- Build credibility and trust with key clients, project team members and stakeholders.
- Champion delivery methodology and supporting toolsets for consistent delivery excellence.
- Work with regional and global capability management to align delivery capabilities with market demand.
- Automotive Industry Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 15‑20 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in FLC and experience with S4
- S/4
HANA Greenfield/ Brownfield implementation experience - SAP certifications preferred
- Automotive industry experience required (German automotive a plus)
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Pre‑sales / GTM experience required
- Extensive knowledge of SAP solutions specific to the automotive industry (S/4, Cloud, industry cloud offerings)
- Deep knowledge of SAP modules for automotive sector (PP, QM, MM, SD, EWM)
- Experience with SAP Vehicle Management System, SAP Dealer Business Management, SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence
- Experience or exposure to global automotive manufacturing, understanding regional regulations and supply chains
- Big4/consultancy experience preferred
- Expertise in core business processes and associated functions, enabling technology‑agnostic workshops
- Ability to develop and present innovative implementation strategies considering budget and time to value
- Ability to identify and present different commercial strategies (outcome‑based models)
