Job Overview

This position will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to the project and development teams enabling multi‑layered architecture according to business, application, data, and infrastructure designs. You will work closely with diverse teams of Enterprise Architects, Subject Matter Experts and technical development teams who share a passion for technology and desire to implement solutions that adhere to industry’s best practices.

Ability to understand and adopt IT technologies in accordance with Enterprise Architecture direction is crucial to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership to the project team to design the overall solution and implementation of software systems, applications and related products. Research systems, software, products and technical issues with projects and interface architectures. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solutions Architects, and other technology working groups to align and advance our Technology Roadmaps.

  • Provide guidance to development teams during the analysis, development and testing processes, as well as present technical updates to governance boards. Assist developers during solution development, testing and support deployment of solutions.

  • Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining technical roadmaps, systems capabilities and business processes. Follow all published MBFS processes and procedures including security.

  • Create project proposals/approaches for new initiatives. Evaluate new technologies and manage development of proof of concepts (POCs).

  • Administrative tasks such as meetings, documentation, etc. 5%
Additional Responsibilities
  • Application architecture and technology trends and roadmap – Weekly – ITM associates and their business customers – Strategy, Agility, Efficiency and Effectiveness of IT
  • Technical guidance and assistance, system updates, systems integration, proposal recommendations, solution decisions – Weekly – ITM application development teams – Cost, Efficiency
  • Vendor interaction towards system‑related products and services, tools selection, solution implementation – Monthly – ITM dept – Cost, Efficiency
  • Application teams – Gather business and nonfunctional requirements from application teams.
  • Provide system integration guidance and infrastructure design assistance. Collaborate with teammates on application integration and design activities. – Daily – IT Management
Qualifications
  • Min. level of education:
    Bachelor’s Degree or/and Master’s Degree
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT.
  • Field of study, e.g. Finance/HR/IT etc.:
    Computer/Information Science;#Information Technology, Computer/Information Science, Information Technology
  • 3+ years’ experience of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Object‑Oriented analysis and design.
  • 3+ years’ experience with SQL, Hibernate, Web Services (REST and/or SOAP).
  • Experience in JSON, XML, HTTPS and relevant protocols, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML5 and relevant tools/frameworks, Java and UDB DB2 database technologies.
  • Experience with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Web Sphere, and Maven.
  • Proficiency with Agile Development Techniques (including TDD, JUnit, Mocks).
  • Working knowledge of source control software (SVN, Git or TFS)
  • Working knowledge with CI/CD Technologies and Best Practices.
