Service Now Developer – IT Workflows / CMDB/CSDM
Join Capgemini as a Service Now developer focusing on IT workflows, CMDB, and CMDB Service Management Data Model (CSDM). You will design and develop CMDB data models, CI classes, and relationships; implement and maintain Discovery and Service Mapping; integrate external data sources; ensure data integrity and compliance; collaborate with stakeholders; develop dashboards and reconciliation processes; troubleshoot issues; and document architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop CMDB data models, CI classes, and relationships.
- Implement and maintain Discovery and Service Mapping to populate and update the CMDB.
- Integrate external data sources with the CMDB using APIs, MID Servers, and ETL tools.
- Ensure data integrity, normalization, and compliance with CMDB governance policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define CI requirements and support ITSM, ITOM, and other Service Now modules.
- Develop and maintain CMDB health dashboards, audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CMDB-related issues, including data quality and performance.
- Document CMDB architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with Service Now platform updates and CMDB best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Service Now CMDB / CSDM development and administration.
- Strong understanding of CMDB / CSDM data models, CI classes, and relationships.
- Experience with Service Now Discovery, Service Mapping, and MID Server configuration.
- Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript, Glide) and Service Now APIs.
- Familiarity with ITIL and Configuration Management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB / CSDM or Discovery.
- Experience with third‑party integration tools (e.g., SCCM, Solar Winds, Qualys).
- Knowledge of ITOM, ITSM, and Asset Management modules.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
$133,650 – $160,000 USD base salary (range may vary based on location, experience, and business needs). Variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions may also apply.
