Job Description

Anchor testing requirements, prepare solution delivery of projects, develop test strategy, track & monitor project plans, review test plans & test cases, ensure optimum test environs are set up, review test scripts, develop project quality plans, validate defective prevention plans with an objective of delivering effective testing solutions for clients within guidelines and norms of the company.

• Prepare and review system appreciation documents, understand application dependencies, plan shadow support in order to complete transition
• Participate in meetings with Onsite Personnel/Clients to understand functional and non-functional requirements for the engagement, understand scope of work to be performed; analyze, prepare test requirement specifications if required, interact with client SME, undertake self study and reviews software demos to understand client business and requirements in order to capture functional and non-functional requirements in scope of delivery
• Create the Test Strategy for the project from the test requirements, review effort estimates for project execution, seek review from respective manager to complete strategy definition of the project
• Review the detailed schedule for a work packet and provide inputs to overall project schedule to ensure on time delivery of the project
• Develop test plan for complex modules, provide review feedback for test plans, review all risks and mitigations identified; develop action plan for all risks, seek support from test manager for mitigation of risks to complete test plan design
• Ensure that the test environment is provided by the client, provide necessary review feedback for test data setup, develop action plan for all risks, seek support from test manager for mitigation of risks to commence test execution
• Develop action plan for the risks identified, seek support from test manager for mitigation of risks to commence test execution for manual testing projects and test scripting for automation/performance testing projects
• Review test scripts periodically to ensure robustness and coverage to commence test execution
• Review relevant data on metrics based on request, prepare metrics for module the candidate is responsible for to support metrics management
• Review the complete execution, develop and track action plan for any risks and mitigations during test execution to identify defects in the application
• Validate go live activities such as production verification to ensure that the application runs in the production environment without any issues
• Review closure report and submit to respective stakeholders, overall status and seek sign-off for small projects to support closure
• Mentor the team, provide performance feedback of individual team members to Project Manager to manage performance
• Lead team members on project processes and provide inputs on process tailoring and quality goals, anchor DP activities for large projects to finalize project quality plan
• Participate in estimation, staffing analysis and solutioning to provide inputs for preparing solution delivery of the proposal
• Interface with customer for issue resolution, provide status updates, build customer confidence in team’s ability to deliver to support high customer satisfaction
• Build repository of team’s collective knowledge, seek information and leverage knowledge from other projects to drive higher efficiency and effectiveness and preserve organization knowledge
• Perform review of the solution development and unit test results to commence testing of the solution developed

• Insurance domain knowledge, specifically Annuity products
• Knowledge of industry fundamentals, trends and processes
• Knowledge of test planning methods/tools, test environment setup methods, test scripting methods/tools
